Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact, nothing among the utterances allowed to man is felt to be so divine. It brings us near to the infinite. Music is a powerful motivator. Whether you need an energy boost or you want to wind down at the end of a long day, the right playlist can do the trick. The right inspiring lyrics, or motivational songs can give you a kick in the backside; provides a quick pick me up to motivate you to accomplish your goals; or just a reminder about appreciating the beauty of the world that we live in and provides that little lift that we occasionally need.

Here is a list of 16 inspiring songs that will help you to stay the course and go for it.

1. What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong 
We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure.People forget we only have a certain amount of time, and it can all end at any moment. Louie Armstrong was there to remind people to look around at the beauty of the world: green trees, roses of red, white clouds, blue skies. What a Wonderful World” was written in 1968 during the time of the Vietnam War. Performed in the genre of jazz, it was written and composed to try and bring hope to the millions of victims suffering the effects of the war like the loss of the many loved fathers, sons and husbands and the “half cast” children who were sent away from their Vietnamese mothers to a foreign land with foreign people.

2. Stand By Me - Ben E. King 
Released in 1961, this song was inspired by the spiritual hymn “Lord Stand By Me.”Sometimes all we need is the right partner on our side and we are capable of doing unbelievable things. Things that we wouldn't do by ourselves cause of fear. Remember no man is an island, you need to get your partnership working for a boost of courage in your life. Don't just do it for you, have a higher purpose, like the person that's next to you.

3.Imagine - John Lennon
Religion divides us, while it is our human characteristics that bind us to each other. Lennon was asking us to imagine a place where things that divide people (religion, possessions, etc.) did not exist. He felt that would be a much better place.

Unless you have bad times, you can't appreciate the good times. things have changed and change is being welcomed. It’s going from a place of darkness to happiness.

5.Don’t Worry be Happy - Bobby McFerrin
Bobby McFerrin’s inspirational 80’s song reminds us that everyone is worried about something, and we need to take time out to have some happy time. Troubles will come in your life, worrying about them doesn't erase them, it's quite the opposite, "you make it double", and they become bigger problems. So, problems exist, you have them, I have them, we all have them, big deal?! All we have to do is to acknowledge them and find the solution for them, and then move on. Don't get stuck.

You can grow. The best example to understand this is physical exercise, when you workout consistently for a while you notice that your body adapts with time, and you become stronger, quicker, agile, more resistant, overall you become fit. “Not Afraid" reflects the more positive mood of the album and finds Eminem rapping on how he has tried to overcome his personal troubles such as his battles with drug addiction. Eminem finally declares that he wants to concentrate just on his family and music. Rosenberg commented to Billboard magazine, "It's an uplifting song. It's not a dark song, it's an uplifting song."

“Where Is The Love?” is a song about police brutality, racism and terrorism. And it’s all true this world will be all lot better if we didn’t have terrorist, racism, war, and lies. It makes me think of how better the world would be without all of this.

“It’s my life. And it’s now or never”. We only have one life, why procrastinate on the things that matter? Let me do what I want, let me live my own life. I'm not gonna live forever.

11.You’re Beautiful - James Blunt
“But we shared a moment that will last ’til the end.”.  When those moments happen, treasure them and remember them. You may need it one day to keep you going.

12.Get up Stand up - Bob Marley
This song is about taking action to avoid oppression. Marley wrote it with Peter Tosh, and the song was influenced by their upbringing in Jamaica, where they had to fight for respect and acceptance for their Rastafarian religion.
